The Collegium Musicum's repertoire consists primarily of well-known choral classics, but it also includes romantic, modern and contemporary music. The group focuses on renewing the tradition by presenting and commissioning new works, including two works by Norwegian composers Knut Vaage and Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen that were released on CD in 2017. Collegium Musicum also works with a number of internationally renowned composers , conductor and soloist and over the years has had the honor of performing under conductors such as Nicholas Kraemer, Martin André, Edward Gardner, Sir Andrew Davis and Andrew Litton and with soloists such as Lise Davidsen, Bryn Terfel, Stuart Skelton, Latonia Moore, Brother Magnus Tødenes and Eldbjørg and Ragnhild Hemsing. Collegium Musicum, in collaboration with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (BFO), has recorded several CDs that have been highly praised. This includes music by Leoš Janáček, who was nominated for a Grammy Award, Hector Berlioz, Edward Elgar and Benjamin Britten. The Choir of Collegium Musicum also performed Britten's Peter Grimes with the BFO in acclaimed concerts at the Bergen International Festival and the Edinburgh Festival, Oslo Opera House and London's Royal Festival Hall. A recording of that work won the 2021 Gramophone Award for Best Classical Album.
